I bought a new key blank from a seller on ebay and had it cut. i have tried programing it a few time and can not get it to work. just to make it clear i am putting in the first working key in and leaving it on for one second, then doing the same with 2nd good key within the 10 second window, and i put the new key in and the theft light just blinks like crazy and i get no confirmation when i turn it off. did i get a bad key or something? any of you guys had this problem?

Here are the steps for programming the key. You COULD have a bum one possibly but I would try these directions. It should also be on your owners manual.

If you want to add a key....

**You must have two original keys to perform this procedure. If you only have one key, you WILL have to take it to the dealer to get it programmed**

1. Insert and existing (working) key into the ignition cylinder.

2. Turn the ignition cylinder ON (RUN) and back to OFF. Ignition should stay on for at least ONE SECOND.

3. Remove the existing key and, within TEN seconds, insert a second working key and turn it to ON (RUN) and the back OFF. Ignition must be in ON for at least ONE second, but no more than TEN seconds. Remove the key.

4. Insert the new key before TWENTY seconds have elapsed and turn it to ON (RUN). Leave it the ON position for at least ONE second and turn back to OFF.

5. The security light will light up for THREE seconds to indicate that the new key has been successfully programmed.

6. To program additional keys, repeat steps 1 through 5

thats what i am doing.... can they check keys somehow at the dealer/locksmith?

Its worth a shot but I have a funny feeling that it will cost you the cost of having them just make another key and code it for you.

All keys need to be separated when programming or it will not work!!! People stop giving bad info!!!! Once u separate all keys it will work during the process.
