Default my HVAC switch is effecting my Temp Sensor and causing a no-start

I have dug through a bunch of wire diagrams and taken stuff apart and have boiled my problem down to this. When the computer isn't receiving power from the HVAC selector switch (it's purpose is to turn on the A/C system) it seems to read the temp. sensor as spiking. It will not start like this and if it is already started it will run very rough. (I am guessing trying to compensate for an overheating engine that isn't overheating). The wire in question runs directly from the switch to the computer and I am wondering if I have a bad computer. Does anyone have any ideas on what i can check to rule anything out. Just to reiterate, when the wire going to the computer DOES NOT have power the computer miss reads the temp sensor. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
