So here's my problem I have a factory remote start, my truck starts great every time but the blower fan never comes on, so I don't have a warm truck to get into. Just a warm engine. I'm just wondering if there could be a blown fuse or something that is just disconnected. And yes I leave my blower fan on when I turn off my truck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Vehicle details: 2010 ford ranger sport 4x4 4.0L. Ford one button remote start.

Does the blower turn on after you turn the key? The starter circuit probably isn't tapped into the blower motor to power it up

Yes, the blower turns on with the the key. Just not the remote start.

Any ideas as to which colour wires need connected, a wiring diagram would be great.

You would have to see if the remote starter is even capable of powering up the blower motor

Go to www.bbbind.com .

Select TSB Database, then Wiring Diagrams. Enter your truck info. From there you can choose what Category you need. It's all there, including wire colors to help you trace problems.

You guys don't happen to know where I could find an installation manual for the ford one button remote start, do you? I think I figured out which wires to tap into but it would be really nice to have a manual.

Thanks for finding some info on my system, but I really need some installation instructions. At least I now know that my remote start is suppose to turn on my blower.

Those sure looked like the install directions to me - vehicle specific wiring diagrams for the system is on page #143-146 of that PDF I posted.

Also pages 126-137 list the step by step directions (96 steps to be exact) labeled 'installation'. lol

So I found the problem, and it's very strange. It looks as if the fuse holders for the hvac were never installed. Take a look at the pictures in my remote start album and let me know what you guys think.
