Default hid issue

new to the forum. i install 8000k hids on my 06ranger, but my drl's cause them to flicker unless my driving lights are on. does anyone know how to disconnect or bypass the drl's?

I believe the Ford dealership can program the vehicle so day time running lights are disabled, but if you live in a place where DRLs are required by law (eg: canada) they probably wont do it. You can always press your parking break down one click to shut them off though...
