So i just bought my first truck, a '97 Ranger 2.3 2wd. Love the little truck but it seems the PO did some interesting wiring work..lol. So i get home and notice my dome lights aren't working so i have a look a the bulbs and they are fine check the fuse and find a white wire plugged into the #27 slot on my fuse panel. I traced the wire and it led to a 15amp inline fuse and then ended in one of the slots of the red plug of the HVAC unit.. coming out of another slot on the back of the same plug is a purple wire that goes directly to the low side ac pressure switch. Can someone please help me find out what wires are supposed to come out of that plug and where they terminate?! Neither of these wires are factory. i pulled the white wire out and put in a fuse, so at least i have a dome light
Thank you

Re: AC Wiring problems! Fixing the PO's mistakes...
Thank you! But does anyone know what pin on the back of the red plug the purple and white/purple wire go to? The PO put in aftermarket wires in their spot. Anyone have a picture of the plug?
