Hello Everyone; I'm Brand New Here!

1999, 4x4, 3.0 Flex Fuel, Auto Trans, Extended Cab, 117,000 mi.

When trans is in low gear, it will coast (freewheel) when not on the gas. If I get on the gas it will accelerate normally. When I let off the gas truck will freewheel, (no hold back).

This only occurs in low gear.

It occurs in 2wd, 4wd high, 4wd low.

Trans was professionally repaired 1 year ago to replace a broken reverse band. I have noticed the problem about 8 months after repair.

Trans filter was changed 1 month ago, no issues found.

Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Uhm, is it not shifting or what? Or are you saying that it's in neutral?

When I am off road, and I move selector to low (1), for holdback on downhill grade.
The trans acts like its in neutral until I apply gas,then it will engage.
