Regearing front and rear axles
So my 2007 fx4 level II is sitting on the stock Alcoa 15x7 wheels with 31x10.5x15 tires and I have been looking at all sorts of lift options and I want to do it a cheaply as possible while still having a quality build. But the main idea is that I want to do a 3 inch suspension lift and eventually a 3 inch BL and put on new 15x10 wheels with 33x12.5x15 tires. I have been researching gearing and how bigger tires will affect performance on the highway and things like that but what all will I need to do to go to a 4.56 gear ratio. And since my truck is 4x4 I will need to do the same conversion on the front axle correct? Would it be cheaper to buy completely new axles or would it work the same if I kept my stock axles and just swapped the gears? Thanks!!!
