Lol thank you. To the OP, I 'bumped' it with letting you know 3-4times the info I first gave you. I don't see how I'm full of myself. But whatever floats your boat.

You are correct, it is way easier to just sell and buy the truck with 4x4 if your doing IFS. It isn't worth the time or money just doing that. Now if you did a SAS (solid front axle) like on a F250 or something similar, it will be better offroad, and you are less likely to brake something with SAS since the axle will be stronger. Also if you did an SAS, you will most likely get some of your money back when selling it (to the right buyer) as most people who do hard core 4x4ing, rather have a SAS then an IFS (independent front suspension). Also let it be noted that either way you go, the front diff and rear diff gear ratio needs to be the same, otherwise your at a very high risk of breaking something, most likely the diffs/transfer case/tranny/driveshafts/halfshafts/hubs/bearings/steering knuckles/etc. Also, when it comes time to sell your truck, and its known that you changed it from 4x2 to 4x4 IFS, then it will hurt the resale value most likely. However with SAS, it is already widely known that it has gone a change, and the buyer is more likely to overlook it.
