I almost beg to differ. Some newer vehicles, including some Honda's, have a closed system. This means that the fluid can't be even checked, and the driver hopes they never have an issue because it will be much more expensive to fix. Also, I'm pretty sure that both owner's manuals for my 08' Ranger and my wife's Ford Edge say transmission fluid exchange at 35,000 miles.

Re: Transmission Fluid
no DO NOT get it flushed unless you want to put a trans in it...drop the pan change the fluid and filter..then pop one of the cooler lines off and as the trans pumps the old fluid out put new in

Why is that a bad thing. If I do it the way you described, I won't be getting all the old fluid out...

Re: Transmission Fluid
You're getting good advice on how to best service it. To flush and to exchange/replace do not mean the same thing.
