And I know this sounds stupid but I have to ask, is the throw out bearing installed in the right direction, believe me I've seen it done wrong...
I just disconnected and the pedal is still loose - so I guess this means we need to pull out the master and line and bench bleed since we have so much play in the pedal.

We just got done with the bench bleed of the master cylinder system - we followed the video exactly and it worked. Follow the video exactly do not deviate from the video and it works. Take your time follow the video exactly and it will do the job. Lastly, follow the video exactly - did I say the enough?

So, basically your saying you have to wait till after you bleed the system to go have a beer??

Wowsers. Never in a million years would I have guessed this project would have been this involved.

Like cygrads said. We did end up getting it resolved. We pulled the slave and line, took our time and followed the video to a t. This is not a difficult project at all, however if its your first time you definitely need to watch the video and do exactly as it says and you will not have any issues.

Thank you everyone who offered suggestions.

Now can you do me a favor and convince him that truck needs an exhaust system and an intake!
