Default Is a front locker possible on our trucks?

My buddy just ordered his front locker on his 4runner (yuck) ARB. Can our trucks take a front locker and if so whats the size of the pumpkin?

I doubt you have a limited slip up front since one does not exist yet. The only chance there is, is torsen who has had rumors of putting one into production but has never happened

It's possible, but not a good idea. The D35 is a weak axle and the it will destroy CV's left and right when engaged.

Worse case scenario, you could always go with a redneck locker on it and weld that puppy up.

Sorry man but unless the person you bought it from was able to engineer, fab, and machine the parts needed to make an l/s then you have an open diff. Nobody makes one, or has ever made one. There are a couple of torsen prototypes out there, but i seriously doubt you have one. lol

I believe Aussie makes an IFS locker for the D35. Almost sure of it.

PM RazorsEDGE, he used to have one up front.

There are no currently manufactured options for the front of a 98+ Ranger. Regardless of locker or limited slip. Aussie Locker has been out of production for a few months now....they've now only got warranty extras to cover warranty claims. Quaife(sp?) sells a limited slip...but they're OUTRAGEOUSLY priced and should never be considered....you should go SAS if you really buy a Quaife.

BUT...just a few months ago at SEMA '09, Torsen introduced the Torsen T2 limited slip for the 95+ Explorer and 98+ Ranger. It was part of the new products showcase at the show. I haven't seen anything out there yet as far as release dates or availability...but supposedly, it's official that it exists and will soon come out(eh...maybe!?). lol.
