Default Engine, Tranny shake!

Wasn't sure where I should of posted this but here we go. I have a 1993 Manual Ford ranger 2.3L. I'm putting in a new alternator today but I've also have had a lot of shaking back and fourth from engine to the tranny. Whenever I take off from being stopped or turning it feels like the whole engine and tranny are moving and about to fall out of place. When I replaced the clutch 2 months ago the tranny mounts were fine. I'm wondering if I should tighten down the engine mounts and if so is their a special way to do it? I don't want to ruin anything. Thank you for you'r help its really appreciated.

One or both of your motor mounts are probably broken And may have messed up the new trans mount.

Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.

Torque it down till it breaks off, then back it off 1/4 turn.
