I have a 2wd 1990 ranger xlt 2.9l 6 cyl and i found a 1983 ranger 4wd i want too know if i can use the parts from the 1983 and use it on my 1990 to make it 4wd. plz help!!!!!

If the bodys would interchange, that would be a lot simpler, 4x4 frames are different, the 2 years you discribe have different trans, and you didn't mention what engine is in the 83.
