Default rear end and gearing question???

ok i have a 95 ranger 2wd 4.0 v6 its all stock at the momemt im lifting it 4" suspension lift 3" body lift on 35" buckshot mudders and ive been thinking of switching out the rear end for a 2.3 4 cyl rear end im looking for advice i want a good gear ratio that would push those 35s like nothing.. also i want to install a locker what is the best but cheapest way to do so please help me out thanks

U need 4.10 or higher gears for the 35's

I have heard aussie lockers are good

please dont even consider a 7.5" axle and locking it with 35's. That's just asking for carnage.

You're gonna want at least a 4.10 gear. 4.56 would be a better choice....4.88 would be an even better choice and it's what I run.
