So I called Hurst/B&M about their shifter...
because I want to install a short throw on my 2009 Ranger XL 2.3L Manual Reg Cab... on their site it says it fits 88-03 in one section and 88-05 a little further up... They said that they havent tested it on anything after 2005 and if i buy it and it doesnt work im out of luck and cannot return it. So I just need to know if anyone has tried this and if you have had any problems!?
Coles... 4cyl 5speed stick 2009, does the hurst shifter work for this application? Thanks! btw, the search function on this forum doesnt work very well

Lol kudos for using the search function! I know that Conk put an 05 or 03 tranny in his 94. Look for Mikesturbo94 on my friends on my profile page. So my educated guess, if you can cross reference the tranny in your truck to those model years and see if there is a difference, you might have your answer. I'd call Ford

It's all the same. Your fine to put it in your truck. Nothing has changed transmission wise since like ever for the manual almost lol.

Nah its all the same. 01+ is exactly the same mechanically.
