Angry [Solved] Where's my rear end fill plug?

Looking at my rear end from the front, I see a couple bolts holding stuff like the brake lines and whatnot on the rear end housing, but where the heck is the fill plug? I see what looks like and inverted plug that a half inch drive ratchet end will fit perfectly into but how could that be the fill plug since it actually sits on the bottom half of the housing? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I need to check fluid level and maybe fill er up!

its on the l.h. (drivers side) front side, not quite 1/2 way up, about inline with the driveshaft. it tkes a 3/8 drive extention/ratchet to remove. you dont want the housing filled to the top, the spinning of the ring gear will sling enough oil around to get everything covered. i have a cast cover that also has a fill hole, and it has a drain plug with a magnet as well.

Exactly the info I needed! Thanks a ton. I wasn't thinking it made sense for the fill plug to be so low, but now I understand. I did find that plug already... but it confused me. Now I know.

I need to get my mind out of the gutter. This is totally not the thread I thought it was going to be, based on the thread title and opening paragraph.
