Manual transmission, no reverse. 03 ranger 2.3 2wd
Go to put truck in reverse and all that happens is a slight clunk and the sound of a piece rattling in the tranny. No movement but all forward gears work great. Any ideas?

You may have broken the reverse synro.

Is that accesible to replace without removing the entire trans?

You'll have to pull the tranny to get to that reverse syncro.
