Default a4ld trans

i have a 87 ranger, with the 2.9l v-6, well, i cant find another one to replace it, but i can find plenty of trans for the 3.0 motors, i guess what im asking, with the trans from the 3.0 bolt up to my 2.9?

you can alway rebuilt it or try a junkyard

well, ive never rebuilt a trans, so, i really dont know i would be getting my self in to, and i cant find one in the junkyards, i was told they only put the 2 wheel drive a4ld's in 87's and 88's, i guess i'll go monday to the local trans shop and have them quote me a price

no you can take the tranny in and have it rebuilt, if you pull it and take it in you will save a lot in labor
