Default Dead Clutch pedal

I have a 93 2.3 2wd that is my winter beater. I just replaced the tranny due to the other one losing reverse and being run low on fluid. I also put in a new clutch. I bled the clutch but the pedal still has almost no pressure and goes right to the floor. It was no where near perfect before the replacement but it disengaged the clutch. I have it rigged up so that the pedal can be pushed in all the way without hitting the floor and I am getting enough disengagment to shift but it feels like that is starting to not work because I had to fight to get it in reverse last night.

I don't want to pull the trans again if it is the master but I don't want to just replace the master to find out that I wasted money on a part and still have to pull the trans. I see that most people say to replace teh slave on a clutch change wish I would have seen that before i put it all back in. My question how do i check and tell if it is the slave or the master cylinder going bad?

the easiest way to check it would be to replace the master before you pull the trans and go after the slave. but more than likely its the slave cylinder from my experiences. i've been through 4 of them since owning my truck.

perhaps theres air in the line to the slave cylinder also, are you sure you bled it properly?

Slave cylinder, need a clutch bleed - or maybe the TOB slipped out.

Thanks I found some instructions on how to check just the master cylinder and bleed it again. It seems to be getting weaker even after i rigged it to work; so I still think it will be the slave. I forgot to mention that I left the slave on the trans that i bought and did not swap in the one from the original trans so it could have been bad and I would not have known.
