Default building my rear end

i want to build my rear end, but not sure what to do, what i want to end up with is some kind of posi, and rear disk, and better rear end gears. i do some off roading but nothing too crazy, its still my daily driver. i have people saying to go with an e locker or an air locker. but i was thinking of just doing a limted slip with a cluth pack. and i want to go up with my gear size to help with my 33's. i was thinking instead of doing all that work just doing an axle swap with an axle that has most if not all of that. people tell me that the ford explorer rear end will fit and also a mustang would work too. what smarter and more cost effective option. let me know what you think
