Default Help: E-break light not working correctly

So my parking break light seems to always stay on when i pull my break release. To make it go off i have to put my foot behind it to make it go off.

Well today i was gonna fix it, and i noticed that my parking break has too much power in it? Well all i know is something isn't right. The break keeps bouncing off the sensor when i release it. Here is a vid of what i'm talking about.

No i'm not going to undo the sensor because I've disabled it before and I've left my e break on.

First off its not a parking brake light. That light comes on for many reasons. Second off sounds like you need to adjust the drums.

The light only comes on if the e break isn't all the way out. I know this because i can press the sensor down and it goes off.

I will look into that.

Never said yours wasn't the parking brake. I was pointing out its a brake light for all things brake related (minus abs which has its own light). It could also still not be the parking brake. Had a similar issue on my jeeps rear drums, light came on after you released the parking brake and if you played with the parking brake some it went out. Ended up being air in the rear cylinders.

By you saying that when you pull the E-brake petal up with your toe the light goes out, sounds like something is worn enough that the little switch isn't being compressed enough to kill the light. That little switch works just like your foot brake light switch, take a good look at things, the switch may be loose where it mounts.
