Default Jerk on moving

I am on my second ranger Supercab 4.0L 4x4 1st was an '01 now an '04 one was high mileage and one is low mileage. Upon starting out from a dead stop there are 2 noticable small bumps or jerks. I have tightened the spring shackles. I have had my hand on the motor mounts and noticed no problem. HOWEVER when it has been through a car wash or driving on a rainy day the bumps and jerks disappear and is as smooth as can be.

What in the world could this be?

Thanks!!

Default Re: Jerk on moving

My only thought is possibly suspension bushings might be binding up, probably on the rear springs, try spraying silicone into the bushings, it might help.
