^^YUP!

New spring perches ONTOP of the axle instead of below. And weld on some shock mounts and that's about it. OR....just shock tabs if you want to lower the back 5". You can leave the Expo perches right where they are.

There's a few ways to make the parking brakes work...cable clamps from the expo cables to the ranger frame cable. Hook it up like factory on an expo...just gotta figure out what you want pretty much.

OR....if you're just after it for the discs, click here: http://www.fordrangerforum.com/how-s...-rear-end.html

Thumbs up

I've done it twice with a 95up disc braked Explorer rearend and once with a 92 Explorer drum braked rearend, I wanted the durability and drop of the Explorer rearend. It is a direct swap, but you do have to modify or make new shock mount crossmember with the lowerin setup, as far as 4x4, somebody else will need to chime in, as mine are STREET trucks.

With a lowered truck, it's pure bolt in. No welding of spring perches, and the parking brake cable bolts right up too. On a stock height or lifted truck, the parking brake cable is a bit too short, and you need extra work. Also with a bit of creativity and bending, you can use a pair of driver side expo spring plates and some extra hardware to mount the shocks. If you have the capability, welding on shock mounts is easier, but you have to remove the Expo sway bar mounts to do that, since they go in pretty much the same place on the tube. With a little more creativity, you can bolt up the Expo sway bar too. Remember though, the Expo axle is about 1.5" wider than the Ranger axle, so your wheels will stick out just a bit further.

Basically, weather lifted or lowered, there are a few people on here that have done it, and we can answer any questions you may have about the install.
