2001 ranger, edge, clutch problems? help needed
Hello all, help needed here.
I've got a 2001, Ranger, Edge V6.
I just took it on a trip out of down last weekend, and it ran fine, no signs/noises/anything relaying the message of problems to come.
I parked it at my apartment, where it stayed for a few days. The weathers been nice enough to ride a bike around. But I went to start it about 3 days after last driven, and this is what happened:
Started the truck, turned over fine, everything sounded perfectly fine. > took the parking brake off (I was parked on an incline, to where in neutral, I should have rolled backwards) > The truck was completely still, so shifting into reverse, the clutch had resistance, everything felt normal, but it seems as if it didn't engage in gear, and trying to reverse, led to nothing. As if the truck were glued to the ground.
It idles in neutral perfectly fine, and like I said, is stuck on an incline, without any break, to where it should naturally roll. I assume this is a clutch problem, I'm not extremely knowledgeable , and would appreciate any advise.
