Default 4x4 transfer case

is there a difference between 4x4 transfer cases for auto and manual transmissions or are they interchangable? have a manual tranny in my truck and going to swap to a automatic. also will i need different drive lines or are they the same between auto and manual trans?

They are interchangeable if of the same type. 1354E and 1354M, 1350E and 1350M. Without knowing about your truck, but newer trucks like 98+, front and rear shaft lengths are the exact same if on the same wheelbase. Trans don't matter, tcase shift type don't matter.
