Default '02 diff questions

I have an '02 FX4 Ranger in need of diff service.
I do not have any way to suck the old oil out so I am going to remove the covers to drain and inspect.
My questions are: Can I get the front diff cover off without having to undo or move anything else and are there gaskets or just silicone?

Thanks in advance

To get the front one off you got to pull the whole diff out.

Default cover removal

You can remove the cover to drain the oil much easier to completely change it just slap a samll amount of RVT on the housing when you bolt it back up torque it to 35ft lbs and your good, I found the lucas
80-90w works really well in a 8.8 just dont forget the friction mqdifier
