Default front bearings going out

my driver side bearings are going out so i went to local shop and they said i had to buy a a new hub assembly which is between $250-280
so is it possible to just press the bearings out and press new one in?

specs on truck???? gotta give us something to work with here man. Can't help much without those specs on the truck(year, model, drivetrain, 2wd or 4wd, how many miles, etc)

Judging by the cost, you've got a 00.5+ 4wd Ranger. The bearings and hubs are sealed units and are not rebuildable/repackable. You must replace the entire unit. This is an area you don't wanna skimp on at all. If you go cheap, they'll last only maybe 20,000 miles and not 150,000 miles like stock or high quality replacements like Timkin Bearings. Again, this is only by assumption based on your price listed without knowing anything about the vehicle in question.

I have the same vehicle. Are the hubs hard to replace?
