Default why??? explorer rear end

i was just wondering why r ppl switching out the rear end on there rangers for the ones on exporers are the exporers rear ends stronger?? there almost identical vicles.

31 spline axles in the Explorer. Do some searching.

yes its a lot stronger comes with a l/s 373 and 31 spline axels ive destroyed 2 7.5 ranger axels before i upgraded

As mentioned above:

31 spline axles (30% stronger than the normal 28 spline axles)
95+ have disc brakes (94 and older have 10" drums just like the Rangers)
More desirable gear ratios when bolted under older Rangers(Ranger: 3.07, 3.28, 3.55. Explorer:3.73, 4.10.)
Most have limited slip.

If installed on a lowered truck, no mods needed...just bolt it up ontop of the spring and BAM! 5" of drop.

just a note:: the explorer rear end is a little wider.... but a great and easy swap
