when i turn the nob to 4high everything works fine. when i give it some gas all i hear is clunk clucnk clucnk..... when i ket off gas it stops.. i got stuck the other night in 2wd so i put it in 4hi. all 4 tires spin but still the clunking noise..u joints look good. the noise isnt in the front or the rear. right under me..T-CASEE. or the shift motor. could the shift motor be bad and cause it to like slip some? and make this nosie or is it the tcase itself?

U joints can look good and still be bad, they tend to lock up, may need to drop the drive shaft and move the joints by hand and see. Also drain the t case oil and see how much comes out, as well as if any metal comes with it.

mine made this noise i drove forced my truck to drive through it all. Its a problem with the 4x4 not disengaging. One Hub is free while the other one is still locked

It when the 4wd is engaged why would it not disengage when its suppose to be on?
