Thumbs up

I have a 1994 Ford Ranger 4.0L 4x4 and I also get a jerk when shift from reverse and drive, boy does it scar me thinking I won't hear the jerk one day. My dad says its normal and that its been that way ever since my aunt got the truck. Four wheel drive systems are complicated - I don't think you should be worrying - unless this has just started happening.

I do believe that it is a sign of an upcoming tranny failure. Google it and you'll see..

You know STL , some mystery's are not meant to be solved but,
Maybe its because I'm new here so It brought up a thread I never seen before or something else that is unexplainable.

Anyway, it can sometimes be caused by slack in the drivetrain, i.e., u-joints and differential, as well as by the tranny.

Mystery solved, it's at the top 'cause I posted in it.
