I've never heard of a performance flywheel, what exactly are you looking at? Link?

I don't think there is any company that makes one since the Ranger isn't and can't really be a performance vehicle. Less mass in the flywheel would make it easier to stall in such a heavy vehicle anyway.

The Nissan truck guys like their lightweight flywheels(basically a 350z flywheel) because it replaces a 3 piece heavy flywheel that tends to fall apart over time to a 1 piece that weighs less makes the engine spin free-er.

I am unaware of any lightweight options for a Ranger. Can you link us? They do offer some advantages to a light truck.
