Default 97 rear end into a 98

Hey anybody know if a rear end from a 97 ranger will fit into a 98 without any major adjustments - basicly want to pull out old (spider gears welded) and put in 97 right in - Thanks for any help on this - Ernie -

Yup....good to go. Keep an eye on gear ratio. If the axle is out of the truck or the tag isn't on the axle, just count how many ring gear teeth, how many pinion gear teeth, then divide the ring number by the pinion number.

The factory limited slip would have a S spring that sits in the carrier that looks like, well, an S. lol.
