What happens is when braking at the last moment the rear ABS pump kicks in letting the truck roll forward. I have replaced the sensor on the rear diff and the wiring looks good. I can pull the ABS fuse and the brakes work great issue goes away, but the speedo goes out and the dash lights up like a christmas tree ABS and check engine lights come on. Replae the fuse and then the ABS flares back up. The sensor on the trans is kind of expensive and my truck has never tripped the
ABS light except for when I pulled the fuse. So I am guessing no codes were ever thrown. Should I take it in and have the techs check for codes or maybe consider replacing the sensor on the trans. I would hate to start trying to do rear wheel sensors in my garage at home.
Can I unplug the ABS pump itself? I was thinking doing that might leave the speedo alone I could deal with the little lights with alittle electrical tape.
