87 ranger turbo diesel question

i have a 87 ranger with a inline mitsubishi 4d55 2.3 l turbo diesel,my question is this!
will this engine bolt up to the ranger 4x4 v6 tranny?
or did the 4x4 ranger also come with a 4 banger?
if it did come with a 4,does anyone know without a doubt if my engine will be a direct bolt up!

im going junk yard hunting for a bronco II or a ranger single cab 4x4 in a few mths,only if i know this engine will bolt up directly.

i need a crawler project and i want to put this engine to use.

I had to replace the trans in my 85 diesel and the transmition shop told me the it was the same as a v-6. Cant be sure because i got one from a wreck diesel truck. There is suppose to be numbers somewhere on the trans that ID it. Chec with the dealer the can probly tell you for sure

but im probally gonna just sell my engine,my hours got cut at work and i really cant afford another project now.
......but once again money is needed!

heres a pic and a quick vid of it running!
grass was growing over the engine,spiders and wasp live on the engie.
the big suprise was 5 big rats ran out from the engine bay when she fired up!

yes i still have it.
had plans to put it to use,but money talks.....i guess id take $1200 for it,buyer is responsible for shipping/pick-up.
