Default 1997 ford ranger 4 cyl / 5 spd /2 wheel drive/ reg cab/ reg bed carrier bearing?

does it have a carrier bearing on it?..I found (on the drive shaft) a rubber ring with metal around it and it slides easily...If so is it hard to replace?

What's prompting you to want to change a carrier bearing? are you having driveline vibrations you can't explain or have been trying to chase??? (only extended cabs have the carrier bearing btw)

Sometimes vibes can be remedied by a simple tire balance, or driveshaft U-joints replaced, or heck even inside the axle you might have something goin on.
