tranny problems and questions
after having my tranny rebuilt about a year ago (took it mudding and blew 3rd and 4th gear bands...long story) it leaked from the pan only a day or 2 after having it rebuilt, took it back to the shop they changed the pan gasket. said it would be set. still leaked, they said it was the dipstick tube, fixed that and it hasnt leaked for prolly 10 months, now i look underneith and the tranny crosmember is wet and the entire edge of the pan gasket. my question is, how hard is a manual swap? obviously i would need a manual tranny, a clutch pedal and set up and a manual computer. im sick of my slush box auto matic and feel i would have a simpler stronger more fuel efficent tranny with a 5 speed manual.
