Default overdrive 'out-of-order' (not a flashing light problem)

My O/D light does not come on, and the transmission doesint shift. (3000rpm @70mph) I have a 5R55E transmission if my signature doesint suffice.
Everyone I ask says its a fuse, all fuses under hood and in cab are in good shape. and i tested all the relays under the hood.

sorry ahead-of-time if theres already this type of o/d problem thread.
but i swear couldnt find it.

thanks for any help

When is the last time you changed the transmission filter and fluid?

just about 5,000 miles ago, maybe a little more.
but i check my fluids once a week and the transmission fluid is still a beautiful red. (and at the proper level)
its been this way since i got the truck 7 months ago. there is nothing else wrong with the trans.,
iv never had a slip and it always shifts on-time and smoothly.

maybe its just me but 3K at 70 sounds normal to me...what gears do you have? i assume 4.10s and what do you mean by the o/d off light not coming on? maybe the bulb is just burned out

Sorry for taking so long to reply, have a lot of crap going on.
I figured out that the problem was the switch on the shifter column, poped it off and put my own momentary s/w in. Looks bad, works great. Its running about 2400rpm @ 70mph now. But i still take the back roads everywhere
