Default What size is the front axle nut: '00 w/ 4x4

What socket size is the front axle nut for a 2000 4x4 ?

32mm I believe. That's if you're talking about the CV shaft nut at the hub.

I always used regular chrome plated sockets....non impact sockets. Never had any issues in the 4 or times I've had to remove them. Use a bad ass snap-on air impact wrench too.

UPDATE:

it was a 32 mm socket.

I replaced both front hub assemblies. Cost for two: $520. Easy to replace.

If you have a 2000 Ranger, make sure you check the build-date, as they changed hub-designs during June of 2000. Also, you'll need to specify ABS or non-ABS.
