Default Will Lucas really solve grinding?

I have started to notice that if I try to downshift into second gear with the clutch fully depressed when coming up to a turn, the gears have started to grind. Curious as to weather or not Lucas will actually help my situation, and how much I should put in the trans.

The fluid I drained today was black / gray, quite a horrible sight if you ask me.

I am no expert, but I have fucked my fair share of trannys over the years (I used to buy and flip cars... mostly old with wearing trannys)

Anyway, to answer your question no. The best you can hope for is a little more time before it takes a shit.

Sorry, I know that's not what you wanted to read.

It figures I guess... Nothing with this truck is going right...

First a bad headgasket, leaky slave cylinder, leaking rear axle seals, now grinding trans. Wonderful.

Sorry bud, that's one of the worst things about used cars you just never know how they were cares for before you. I had a 1992 with 465k on orig drivetrain (2wd, 3.0).

But If someone drives it hard and doesn't do preventative maintenance that's it... All of the things u mention are easily preventable
