vibration at 65, goes away at 70?
1997 ranger automatic, ok the truck has the wheels balanced, and the tires are fairly new, it has a lot of vibration at about 60-65 then goes away at 70? i believe it needs new u joints because it sometimes clunks into gear, im thinking it might need the wheels rebalanced? or the driveline balanced? but how do you go abour balancing a driveline and how much would this be about to have the u joints replaced and driveline balanced?

Re: vibration at 65, goes away at 70?
i would take it to a different shop and have them rebalance the wheels first.... then if that doesnt cure it i would move on to the drive shaft and so on.... for the driveline check around and see if you have a driveshaft shop around and they will be able to help you out there... i think when i had my u joints re done it was about 50 for the joints and 25 to press them in.... not really sure had them done about 2-3 years ago....

Also, If you drive in mud a lot. It could be you have too much mud on your wheels. But You know there balanced so, I'm guessing that can't be it.
