75w140 synth oil
if you run full synthetic gear oil, then you don't need the friction modifier, but if you run a conventional gear oil then you will need friction modifier

Royal Purple is what I put into mine I think it took 2 1/2 bottles to fill I was over a year ago so maybe wrong
Just use the fill hole on the driver side that is toward the front of the truck. Make sure truck is on level ground. Fill with fluid till it starts to pour out the hole

I know that my 8.8 requires 75W90 if I'm using synthetic. Also, you don't need a friction modifier since you have an open diff.

Yup. I'm not sure if you need it with a locker, but yeah open diff doesn't need it, L/S does.

Be careful with some synthetic oils. Some don't contain enough friction modifier and can cause the l/s clutches to chatter. You need it for l/s diffs but not open or locker diffs with the exception of the Auburn ECTED. Not sure if it needs it since it is both a locker and l/s.
