Ive got an 01 Ranger 2wd i wanna make it 4wd anyone have any ideas on how to?

2 55watt fogs, Red LEDs in the bed, 2 12" Mtx thunder with 800 watt sony xplode amp, bench in the back with 2 6.5" pyle speakers in the bed.


If its got tits or tires its gonna give ya problems.

Step one: Sell current ranger

Step two: Buy 4x4 ranger.

Step three: ???

Step four: profit

that's by far the easiest way ^^^

or a solid axle swap. your truck doesn't have the 4wd frame, so those are your two options.

na na na you guys have it alll wrong, step one, get a 4x4 ranger in front of your truck with the wheels chalked.

step 2 back up with enough room to get up to about 70 mph in your truck, step 3 loosen 4x4 body bolts

step 4 loosen 2wd body bolts

step 5 get her up to about 70 mph give or take 5 mph, and ram the back of the 4x4 the body should slide right onto the 4x4 frame to make a clean transfer.

step 6 put new body bolts in and clean up the mess

im not responsible for anything that could possibly go wrong in this delicate procedure.

but honestly this topic has been beaten to death, gotta search for your answers.
