Re: Clutch feels like brake pedal, then nothing
try bleeding the clutch system. it can fix lots of problems.
heres how i do it- take the cap off the resivor and check the fluid level. use dot 3 brake fluid to top it off if needed. get under the truck and locate the bleeder. mine is on the drivers side about half way up the tranny behind [what would be the bell housing]. my bleeder needs an 8mm box end wrench to crack it open. put about a foot if clear plastic fuel line on the bleeder so you can see the fluid/bubbles coming out and to keep from making a mess. have another person to pump the clutch slowly about 3 times then hold it to the floor. then you crack the bleeder open for about a second or 2. as soon as the fluid stops coming out close the bleeder. repeat until you get a steady stream of clean fluid a couple times in a row. be sure to check the resivor frequently.
