Default Clutch Going Out??

hey FRF i need help diagnosing an issue. as im pulling away from a light or something, when im engaging first gear, i get a violent shaking out of the truck till i get up to speed. it happens every time i engage the next gear. also, there is a banging sound a few seconds after the gear is engaged. a friend told me a clutch finger broke off and its out of balance and i need a new clutch.

thanks guys..

Mine would shake if i let the clutch slip for too long. Don't know if it was because the clutch plate was wearing low or if it was a sign of my slave cylinder going out, but yeah. I diagnosed that I'll need to drop the tranny to change out the slave, so im doing a full clutch/throw out bearing too. I suggest you do the same so you won't have to drop your tranny again.

put it in gear and then slowly coast for a few feet to make sure the clutch is in contact then MASH the pedal to the floor if its shakes and the rpm's go up and down and you notice your not gaing as much speed as you should then yes your clutch is most likely f'd

step 1: go find a nice flat straight part of road here you can do a dead stop

Step 2: put truck in first and start moving using no pedal after you are moving.

Step 3: get going as slow as possible while staying in gear.

Step 4: MASH THAT BITCH TO THE FLOOR

Step 5: if its going up in the RPM but not moving like it should its a sure fire sgn your clutcvh is TOAST

while doing clutch replace the slave cylinder and everything to do with the clutch besides the master cylinder

----------

fyi when doing make sure the tires are not spinnig lol
