Default Rear End Diff Cap

On the rear axel of my ranger i cant get the diff filler cap out to check the fluid somone rounded the inside of it off Any ideas on wat i should do to check fluid or fill it up or any opions?

If there is a little bit of the square shape left you could drive a cold chisel into it and try to turn it with large pliers, pipe wrench or locking pliers.
If it is completely round, take the cover off and stuff some rags up around the back of the plug. Drill a pilot hole and use an easy out. The rags will catch the cuttings if there are any.
Wipe it out well b4 reassembly.

Have a shop weld a nut on to it, remove it, then replace with a new one.

anyone no if i can buy a new back cover with a drain/filler plug in it? id like change the hole fluid if i could buy a new cover with a drain plug it?

Yes you can - BUT the drain plug will not be at the very bottom and all of the lube will not drain out.
I like to pull the cover and have a look-see. I also wipe out the housing and the cover with paper towels.

what im talking about is i want to buy the back the cover with a new drain plug in the back cover can i do this? i want to do that because i cant get the old plug out on the front of the pumpkin

I have a mac rear end cover, and it has both a drain and afill hole.. It was well worth it and it allows you to have more fluid in there for cooler rear temp..
