Another thing I forgot to mention is if both are worKing than it is something up front.. Find out uf you have plus vac hubs or not.. If so the most common thing that goes is the vac line running along the transmittion (i forget which side) pricey part from ford but worth it for 4wd !!!!!!!!

I took the center cap off and pulled somthing out that was behind that and noticed that it would not lock it and would just let the cv shaft spin.. I locked it in with a punch and hammer now 4x4 works But I think the part I locked in is going to stay like that.... if this makes any sense
