Default Hurst install (Venting issues???????) HELP

So I keep hearing that the ranger has some sort of venting issues and could lead to fluids coming from the dash/shifter??? what are they? do they apply to 02 FX4s? How do you fix them? I could have sworn I saw a hurst install how to but now i cant find it anywhere so if anyone has a link that would be great but more importantly what are these venting issues and how do I prevent/fix them? I keep hearing they are there but never how to fix them or what exactly they are. The more in depth the explaination the happier ill be so please over-educate me on this and pics would be sooooo great but any help or nudge in the right direction would be fantastic.

Thanks,
Sean

no worries of it coming out of the dash. that is for 94 and older with a speedo cable.

there are several different ways to vent the trans though. most have cut a small slot in the base mount of the hurst. others have drilled and tapped the top of the trans case (requires trans out) and ran a reservoir up the fire wall. i know r-f and rps have a lot of info on it, but i'm sure it's here as well.

On that link you gave me you said you didnt think it was leaking...did you check if it was? And does anyone know if this problem occurs on the FX4 as well or do I have a different transmission setup? ill search and see what i can find but im installing it tomorrow so i guess ill find out either via the internet or from oil leaking out lol
