Default Clutch Override Button.

So i did a search for this and didnt find anything and i know some one has to have done this. but i am wanting to put a clutch override switch to start the truck with out having the clutch pressed in and i dont want to completely disable this but i want to have the option to do it like in the TURD editions on the Coma's. anyone know how this could be done on a Ranger?

Easily. Splice into the clutch switch, run it to a momentary switch on the dash, and back to the clutch switch wire.
I would like to do it so I don't have to vet in to start my truck when I'm boosting. Or to use a remote starter.

a couple reasons, the big one being that when stall out on a steep incline it keeps you from rolling back when you start back up which could put you in a worse spot like off the side of a creek back or some thing like that, with an override you can start the truck while giving it some gas and go right up the hill with out having to slip the clutch. and it also is great when you dont have LSD and are stuck in mud it is a lot easier to start the truck and idle out, then it is to use the clutch to work it out, plus it keeps you from burning the clutch.

Ok, but what if you leave your truck in gear and hit remote start? There's reasons for that safety device. That being said, I hope it all works for ya.

I dont have a remote start and never will after the story of the dealer running the Shelby in to a pond, plus it wouldn't really matter if i did do a remote start and forgot to take it out of gear before i started it the gearing on the ranger is too high for it to go anywhere. i just want it for the emergency situations when it would come in handy, trust me when you are stalled out on a hill with a drop off right behind you they are a life saver. and i guess i phrased my question wrong i under stand what i need to do, i just don't know where the switch is on the Ranger, i did a quick look and didn't see it. i did it to my old TJ and it was easy as pie.

So you want to be able to start your truck after you stalled out on a steep hill easier? You do know you still have to use the clutch to start the truck if your still in gear right? Also it might be built in to the master cylinder

The way i stop from rolling back on a steep hill after i stall, if in the rare occurance that i do, is the break, and to keep me from rolling back, i just heel/toe it.

Nope just went an tested it and all you have to do is as you are starting it give it enough gas to get going and it takes right off, found the a thread on it on TRS and cut the wire jumped them for a test and it worked great just went to Napa and go a push button switch, will get it installed when i get off work and everything should be good to go. and yea but the hitting all three pedals is alot to do when you are half out the windows looking behind you and trying to do everything else this way i can just push the button, start, give it a little gas and crawl up the hill.
