Default regearing for 31's on my 2.3l

i may be getting a lift on my truck soon and the lifts kits ive been looking at says that 31 inch tires would be recommended. so if i get 31's do i have to regear

you should get at least 3.73s but 4.10s would be best for your lil 4 banger. plus you could go with a bl and bigger tires in the future. im happy with my 31s and 3.73s.

well i just checked and i have 3:73 gears so you said you liked your 31's with 3:73

yea its alright. id rather have 32s with the 4.10s now that i have my body lift. haha, but right now im pleased.

cool. well im probably going to get 31 toyo open country a/t's. now i just need to find a suspension lift for my truck

i have these, and the suspension on our trucks is the same. these lift it 2 inches in the front.

the back should be fine, unless you wanna do add a leaf kit or someethin, like 50 bucks.

well i looked at that and im really looking for a suspension lift. i looked at rough country and they have a lift for ranger years 83 to 97. would those work on my 03 or no

nope. after 97 the suspension changed. the only other thing u can do besides these spacers would be spindles.. and those are pricey.. starting at over $450..

well im going to be accumilating a good amount of money from my summer job. i will probably get a 3" spindle lift from fabtech motorsports

31s on a 2.3L will burn up the clutch quick trust me especially on 3.73 gears. YOU NEED 4.56 GEARS for some 31s. 3.73 GEARS ARE USUALLY STOCK ON A 2.3L ranger.

Don't do it...i had those in 31s brand new when i bought my Ranger and they were completely worthless and they only lasted 10000 miles
