x2 The way i understand it is you will have enough torque with the 4.0 to turn the larger tires whereas some of us 4 bangers would not with that set of gears.

Not trying to steal the thread but this is the right place for my question...
I've got the 4.0 OHV with a 3.73 8.8 open-end. I want to run 32s.. Should I regear to an l/s 4.10? Or am I good to go?

I'm running 33s and want to regear. Should I go with 4.10s?

I have the 2.9 with 3.73's and 31's and it's just fine, I can light them up like nothing and stay at about 3k rpms on the highway
